Vrboska

Vrboska remained a natural little harbour town, with a dreamy, romantic city center, lying on a long and hidden waterside. The harbour promenade provides a get-together in a beautiful, easy atmosphere. In the numerous restaurants, wine cellars and with the hospitable residents you could taste the different culinary-gastronomic specialties. The sunny Isle of Hvar is known from the era of the Greeks and Romans for its tasty wine. This tradition was continued into the later centuries, so until today first class wine and hard liqors are produced on the isle.

 

 

Vrboska, one of the most beautiful places on Hvar, was established in the 15th century and accentuates especially through its unique renaissance-baroque fort church. In Vrboska the most beautiful paintings of the whole island are located, Tizian, Veronese , Bassano, Alaberti to Medovic. With a smooth climate, ravishingly beautiful bays and beaches, densely wooded by stone pines, Vrboska offers the perfect place for your holiday.

  • from Germany via Rijeka with car ferry (booking in every travel agency - shipping company Jadrolinija) directly Rijeka - Stari Grad. (Ferry departure time Rijeka daily 06:00 p.m. / arrival on Hvar approx. 07:30 a.m. - Cabin booking available on ferry) 
  • or via Zagreb the highway A1 directly to Split. Car ferry Split - Stari Grad (Hvar) several times a day (journey time 1,5 h) 
By Bus
    By Bus
  • from all big Cities directly to Split, then with ferry or catamaran directly to Stari Grad or Jelsa and by Bus or Taxi to Vrboska.
By Plain
    By plane
  • Flight time from germany to Split airport up to 1,5 h.
  • In Split with ferry or catamaran directly to Stari Grad or Jelsa and by bus or taxi to Vrboska.

 

Approach Appartmenthouse:

  • From port of Stari-Grad turn left towards Jelsa-Vrboska for approx. 7 km
  • Follow main road up to the sign "Vrboska", then turn left
  • Follow the signs "Adriatic" and "FKK-Camp" for approx. 1,5 km
  • Do not mind the entrance to "Vrboska", follow the main road
  • On the right hand you will pass a Appartment-house called "Orleandri" and little signs on the left "Kula" etc.
  • At the red sign "Damjanic" turn right and after 100m left
  • After about 30m you are in front of a corner house: Appartments Damjanic
